Orland American Legion Riders Dan Pobuda, Rolland Minnick and Barry Cork join Andy St. John on WLKI 100.3.

The American Legion Riders of Orland Post 423 are holding the 18th Annual Benefit Ride for our local veterans. On Saturday, June 21, the ride will start at the Legion Post at 211 South Bronson Street, Orland. Then to Bristol, LaGrange, Angola and back to Orland. Registration starts at IO am, kick stands up at 11 am. $20 for the rider, and $10 for the passenger. There will be food, door prizes, and raffles at the Legion Post after the ride.

The American Legion Riders of Orland Post 423 contribute to the Honor Flight service from Ft. Wayne, Clothes for Joes, and the Summit Equestrian Center. We contribute to the purchase of gift bags at Christmas time and distribute them to veterans that live in Angola assisted living facilities. We also support the Wreaths Across America, which is a national event to honor past veterans by placing wreaths at their gravesites in December. We make an annual pilgrimage to Marion National Cemetery here in Indiana to participate in the ceremony and place wreaths at the gravesites.
