(ANGOLA) - Trine University has added two new members to its Board of Trustees, welcoming business leaders Alexander J. Furth and Dennis Argyle, both of whom bring deep personal and professional connections to the university.
University officials said the appointments reflect Trine's continued focus on strong leadership, institutional legacy, and forward-looking governance.
"It's always encouraging to see legacies continue at Trine University and in its leadership, but Alex and Dennis bring much more to the Board of Trustees than family ties," said Rick L. James, chair of the Board of Trustees. "They each have a successful track record and will provide wisdom and expertise that will enhance the strong leadership team Trine University is already blessed with."
Furth is co-founder, partner, and president of P2G Capital Partners, an independent private equity sponsor focused on mid-market companies offering technical products, engineered solutions, and software. He is the son of Dr. Tomas Furth, a distinguished Trine alumnus, trustee emeritus, and the namesake of the university's T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.
Furth's career spans international manufacturing, technology, and investment leadership. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from the Stern School of Business. His professional background includes serving as president and CEO of a multinational manufacturing group and leading a startup specializing in high-speed robotic and crane control technologies.
Argyle serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Knight Facilities Management in Saginaw, Michigan. A seasoned financial executive and civic leader, Argyle has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, public governance, and community development.
After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from Central Michigan University, Argyle began his career in public accounting before advancing into executive financial leadership roles. He has also served in multiple public service positions, including school board trustee and treasurer, township board member, and vice chair of Michigan's Talent Investment Board.
Argyle's connection to Trine is also personal. He and his wife, Laura, have four daughters, three of whom are Trine alumni or current students.
"Each of our new board members brings a unique perspective and valuable insight," said Earl D. Brooks II, president of Trine University. "We're proud to welcome them to the Board of Trustees and look forward to how their guidance will help the university continue to flourish."
The additions strengthen Trine University's Board of Trustees as it continues to support the institution's long-term growth, academic excellence, and mission-driven leadership.
