ANGOLA, Ind. (WLKI)- The Steuben County Community Foundation will hold its 2026 Annual Meeting Thursday, Aug. 20, bringing together community members, nonprofit organizations and others interested in learning more about the Foundation's work throughout Steuben County.
The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Steuben County Event Center at Crooked Lake.
According to The Herald Republican, the annual meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to hear about the Foundation's work during the past fiscal year and learn how donor support and community partnerships have helped address needs throughout the community.
The meeting will conclude with the announcement of more than $350,000 in grants from donor-established designated funds.
Those funds provide annual financial support to nonprofit organizations and allow donors to establish a lasting connection to causes and organizations that are important to them.
A buffet-style lunch will be provided by Trine University's Bon Appetit.
The event is open to the public, including community members, nonprofit organizations and others interested in the Foundation's impact in Steuben County.
Advance reservations are required. Those planning to attend are asked to reserve a spot by Friday, Aug. 14.

The annual meeting comes as the Foundation continues its work connecting donors with organizations and causes throughout Steuben County.
The Steuben County Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and businesses support charitable causes through philanthropic services, strategic investments and community leadership.
The Foundation says its work is focused on bridging the gap between people who want to make a difference and the needs of the local community.
The organization currently has approximately $69 million in assets and uses endowment building and charitable giving to provide long-term support for community organizations and initiatives.
The annual meeting offers community members an opportunity to learn more about that work while also seeing the direct impact of donor-supported funds.
The announcement of more than $350,000 in designated-fund grants will highlight the meeting and provide a look at how charitable dollars are being distributed to nonprofit organizations serving the community.
