Tom Stevens and Dave Sweigart from the Kiwanis Club of 101 Lakes Angola are with Andy St. John on WLKI 100.3 to announce an inspiring new community initiative: Flags Across Angola.
Tom and Dave share how residents can display their patriotism with ease through a new flag subscription service. For a $50 annual fee, the Kiwanis Club handles the installation and removal of American flags at subscribers' homes during five key patriotic holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
Beyond lining the streets with the stars and stripes, the guests discuss how the proceeds from this project stay right in Steuben County. Discover the wide reach of the Kiwanis Club's local impact, including:
- Youth Support: Programs like Reading is Fun, Bringing Up Grades, and local pizza parties.
- Scholarships: Financial aid for high school students, Trine University attendees, and a pioneering scholarship specifically for the homeschooling community.
- Community Health: Vital support for Riley Hospital, the Well Child Clinic, and the Steuben County Cancer Society.
- Local Services: Funding for Project Help, Turning Point Shelter, and the Transitional Living Center (TLC).
Learn how you can participate in this project just in time for America's 250th birthday and help the Kiwanis Club of 101 Lakes Angola continue their tradition of service in Angola.
