(NOBLE COUNTY) - Boating restrictions on several Noble County lakes have been lifted.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says water levels have dropped enough to remove the restrictions that were put in place earlier this month.
In early April, motorized boats were not allowed on the West Lakes Chain and Smalley Lake, while boaters on Sylvan Lake were limited to idle speed due to high water levels.
Officials say those restrictions are issued when high water creates the risk of boat wakes pushing water into nearby homes.
The DNR says conditions have now returned to safe levels for normal boating activity.
