(ANGOLA) - The Angola Area Chamber of Commerce recognized local businesses, leaders and community members during the 13th Annual Ebbie Awards Thursday night at the Steuben County Event Center.
Chamber officials say nearly 200 people attended the event, which highlights excellence in business and public service across the community. Winners are selected through community voting and peer nominations.
This year's award winners include:
- New Business of the Year: Mama's 2.0
- Small Business of the Year: Sutton's Deli
- Business/Organization of the Year (50+ employees): Cameron Health
- Rising Star Business Leader: Hayley Smoker, Joppa Cosmetics & Wellness Spa
- Leadership in Action Award: Bill McClanahan, Bill's Professional Towing & Repair
- Business Community Champion: Farmers State Bank
- Excellence in Customer Experience: Brokaw Movie House
- Non-Profit of the Year: YMCA of Steuben County
Public service honors were also awarded:
- Educator of the Year: Chelsea Alexander, Hendry Park Elementary School
- First Responder of the Year: Angola Fire Chief Bill Harter
- Healthcare Professional of the Year: Mandy Ritter, Cameron Health
The Cornerstone Legacy Award went to June Julien of the Steuben County Tourism Bureau.
The Chamber awards celebrate individuals and organizations that make significant contributions to the local economy and community.
