(INDIANAPOLIS) - Gov. Mike Braun announced a $65 million statewide initiative Wednesday aimed at funding arts and culture projects designed to strengthen communities and drive economic growth.

The program, part of the Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative known as READI 2.0, will support projects that improve quality of life, attract workers and promote long-term development across Indiana.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission, will oversee the effort. Regional development groups can submit proposals through April 15, with funding awards expected to begin in July.

Officials say the initiative will prioritize projects that show measurable community impact, long-term sustainability and regional collaboration.

State leaders said the program is intended to position Indiana as both a competitive place to do business and an attractive place to live, work and visit.
