The Indiana Supreme Court recently restructured the State Board of Law Examiners and Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education into one office. The newly created Indiana Office of Admissions and Continuing Education will fulfill the administrative responsibilities formerly carried out by the separate entities.
BLE and CLE will retain separate board and commission members.
The restructuring is part of a larger effort by the Supreme Court to improve internal governance. In 2016 the Court created a single Office of Judicial Administration which is led by Judge Mary Willis. OJA oversees ACE which is led by Executive Director Bradley Skolnik.
There will be an open house is Thursday, March 2 from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the ACE Office at 30 S. Meridian Street, Suite 875 in Indianapolis.
ACE was created in January by Supreme Court order. The Office is responsible for the admission of attorneys to the Indiana bar and for continuing legal education requirements for judges and lawyers.
