MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP – A one vehicle crash over the weekend took the life of a Goshen teen.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, a Nissan Sentra was in the middle of U.S. 20 near County Road 31, facing east when deputies arrived. Their investigation determined that a Volvo was heading west on U.S. 20, and struck the Nissan just before 1 AM Saturday.

Deputies say there was no driver in the Sentra. A 17 year old passenger, Elijah Coryn of Goshen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still being investigated.

Coryn was a student at Northridge High School.
