STURGIS – Sturgis Hospital has received a special designation.
After several months, Sturgis Hospital has been designated as Michigan’s first Rural Emergency Hospital. This remarkable achievement showcases the Hospital’s commitment to enhancing access to high-quality medical care for the residents of Sturgis and the surrounding communities.
The Rural Emergency Hospital designation, recently granted by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, is a testament to Sturgis Hospital's unwavering dedication to providing exceptional emergency medical services to patients, regardless of their location or background. This recognition demonstrates the Hospital's adherence to the highest standards of patient care, efficient response times, and state-of-the-art medical resources.
Sturgis Hospital Interim-CEO, Jeremy Gump says they are honored to be recognized as the first Rural Emergency Hospital in Michigan and one of the select few in the United States.
