Fatal Mass Shooting In Muncie

MUNCIE - Almost 20 people between the ages of 14 and 30 were injured during a mass shooting in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 30.
On man has died as a result of the shooting and at least 17 others were injured.
Delaware County Coroner Gavin Greene identified the victim of the fatal shooting as Joseph E. Bonner III, 30. of Muncie.
Muncie Deputy Police Chief Melissa Criswell said many of the victims were being treated at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, but those with critical injuries were flown to hospitals in Indianapolis.
"All scenes are contained and there is no immediate threat to public safety," Criswell said in a release.
Delaware County 911 dispatchers received reports of gunshots at 1:14 a.m. on Sunday sending Muncie City Police and Muncie Fire Department emergency personnel to the scene.
Emergency dispatchers received reports of the gunfire at 1:14 a.m., resulting in city police and Muncie Fire Department emergency medical personnel being sent to the scene.
Reports state a large party was being held when the shootings occurred.
No arrests have been made as of Monday, July 31.
