BRONSON, MI – The Bronson Fire Department now has the funds to purchase some much needed equipment.

In a posting on the Bronson Fire Department Facebook page, department officials say they have been awarded a grant from AAA, the Auto Club Group Foundation in the amount of $4,168.50.

The money will be used to purchase lifting airbags to replace the Department’s outdated and expired equipment. Lifting airbags are used to lift vehicles and equipment to free trapped individuals. The grant money will be matched with memorial funds already donated to the Bronson Fire Department to purchase the airbag system.

The mission of The ACG Foundation is to work on behalf of their members and the communities they serve to create lasting solutions, inspire learning and provide research and funding in the areas of traffic safety, tourism, education and community service.

Their approach to grant funding comes from a very basic principle which is to understand the goals and objectives of local communities. Their relationships, which have developed from years of community service, allow them to offer support in a more impactful and meaningful way.
