Record 1,800 Students Graduate From Trine University As Dr. Brooks Says Goodbye

ANGOLA, IN - Trine University officially graduated it’s record number of students on Saturday

There were approximately 1,800 students who earned their college graduate credentials on every level from bachelor's degrees to doctorates. 1,100 students participated in the commencement exercise.

This was the Last graduation ceremony for Trine University President, Dr. Earl Brooks, who announced is retirement earlier this last school year.

NFL Legend Terry Bradshaw was the keynote speaker. He told several stories that made the audience laugh, but he also gave a moment of respect and honor to the outing Trine President saying, “Dr. Brooks, and by the way, God bless you, your family, on your retirement.” Bradshaw referred to Brooks as “one heck of a fine human being.”

Dr. Brooks also offered kind remarks to the graduates in his final commencement ceremony, telling the graduates to “remember their time at Trine and savor all of the good that came from being here for their college education.”
