QUINCY, MI – A fire late Sunday afternoon has destroyed a barn near Quincy.

Quincy firefighters were sent to 241 South Stringtown Road at about 3:00 p.m. for a barn fire.

First units on the scene found a 30 x 50 barn was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The building was reportedly full or hay. Fire crews were on scene for about three hours.

There was no animals or equipment in the building. Several nearby buildings were kept from harm by the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and not suspicious in nature.

Mutual aid was provided by fire departments Lakeland and Fremont.
