ANGOLA, IN — A Fremont High School Student has been named the top winner of this year’s Tri-Kappa Steuben County Art Show.

While artwork has been on display since last Saturday (April 22) at the Carnegie Public Library in Angola, the annual event held it’s awards reception Friday evening.

The show features student artwork from all four school corporations in Steuben County. Schools that participate are the high schools and middle schools from Angola, Fremont, Hamilton and Prairie Heights.

The Best of Show winner was Anna Jordan, who is a 16 year old Fremont High School student. First runner-up winner was Cassandra Ridlington, 14, from Angola Middle School.

Artwork from the many participating students includes self-portraits, collages, masks made from using paper mache techniques, and numerous other art mediums. The work will remain on display through Friday, May 12, at Carnegie Public Library.

The event is sponsored annually by the local Tri-Kappa Sorority.
