ANGOLA, IN - Angola Mayor Dick Hickman and mayoral candidate Sue Essman will be at Democratic Headquarters from 9am - noon this Saturday for an Early Vote Open House.

While Essman's name won't appear on the Democratic primary ballot this Tuesday, her campaign for the general election has begun.

Essman's free yard signs will be available at the Open House, along with signs for primary candidates Dave Olson, Lou Ann Homan and Nick Sutton. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Steuben County Democrat Party Chair Judy Rowe reminds voters "that in Indiana, a voter's political identification is determined by their primary ballot. Participation in a Republican primary will designate a voter as a Republican until a Democratic ballot is once again selected. Rowe urges Democrats to either vote a Democratic ballot, or hold their vote until the general election to maintain their affiliation with the Democratic Party."
