STURGIS, MI — A group of youngsters were detained over the weekend following reports of holes being shot in homes and windows throughout the city of Sturgis.

The Sturgis Department of Public Safety investigated multiple shots fired into several residential areas in their city.

Responding officers were able to located juveniles in the reported area.

Investigators determined pellet and BB guns were used to damage several residences. The weapons were confiscated, and the youths were detained before being turned over to their parents.

The SDPS reported there were “multiple” other complaints over holes found in siding and windows throughout Sturgis.

There were no injuries reported.
