Village Of Montpelier Needs More Revenue Through Utilities
Tuesday, December 27, 2022

MONTPELIER, OH - The Village of Montpelier needs more revenue.

Expenses for the Williams County, Ohio town are estimated to exceed revenues in Montpelier utilities in the next three years if rates aren’t changed.

A public utilities consulting firm, updated the Montpelier Village Council on a rate study they performed. Revenues for three of the village’s utilities for electric, water and wastewater…won’t meet expense requirements without a rate increase.

Current accounts have enough cash balance that increases don’t necessarily need to be that high.

Village officials in Montpelier will continue to go over the numbers.
