SHIPSHEWANA, IN – The Town of Shipshewana will soon begin looking for a new Town Marshal.

During Thursday’s meeting of the Shipshewana Town Board, Tom Fitch announced that he is stepping as Town Marshal, effective December 31.  Fitch has been the Town Marshal for 23 years.

Fitch says he will be a mental health counselor in LaGrange.  He has earned his Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, and said he has finally completed his final internship and fulfilled all the requirements for his degree.
