NILES, Mich. – Incumbent Michigan State Senator Kim LaSata received an endorsement in her bid to win another term in Lansing.

LaSata says she has been endorsed by former Michigan Governor John Engler in her run for the newly created 17th Michigan Senate District. Citing her common-sense conservative voice in Lansing and continued defense against Governor. Gretchen Whitmer’s liberal agenda, Engler says he supports the re-election of Senator LaSata. Engler says her strong record in the Michigan Senate is impressive and that LaSata needs to return to Lansing so she can keep working hard on issues that matter to Michigan families.

LaSata says she appreciates and thanks Governor Engler’s endorsement of her hard work and character.

The newly created 17th Michigan State Senate district consists of all of St. Joseph, Branch and Cass Counties, along with portions of Berrien, Calhoun, Hillsdale, and Jackson Counties.
