(POKAGON TOWNSHIP) – A one vehicle crash sent a Dowagiac man to the hospital.

The Cass County Sheriff's Department was dispatched at 12:44 PM Tuesday to Peavine Street just east of Sink Road in Pokagon Township. Deputies determined that 33 year old Frank Lemanski was driving on Peavine Street when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and struck a tree.

Lemanski was removed from his automobile by first responders and taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital. He was wearing his seat belt and his airbag did activate.

Assisting deputies were the Pokagon Tribal Police, the Pokagon and Indian Lake Fire Departments and Pride Care Ambulance.
