(KENDALLVILLE) – A Wednesday night fire damaged a Kendallville home.

In a media release, Kendallville Fire Chief Jeremy McKinley said his department was called out to a fire in the 900 block of North Lima Road, which is just north of the Kroger Store. The Albion, Avilla and Rome City Fire Departments were called in provide mutual aid, and eventually the fire was put out.

The Indiana State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the situation, trying to determine a cause for the blaze. No damage estimates were given and McKinley did not say if anyone was home at the time the fire started or if there were any injuries.
