Branch County Storage Units Burn

OVID TOWNSHIP, MI – A building that housed multiple storage units was destroyed in a Wednesday morning fire in Branch County.

The incident reportedly happened near the intersection of East Pearl Road and Old U.S. 27 north of Kinderhook. Officials with Lakeland Fire Department said the Michigan State Police Fire Marshal division is investigating the cause of the fire.

The fire was initially reported at 7:13 a.m. by multiple motorist who noticed visible flames from the structure.

Ffirefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to other nearby buildings.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators have not yet determined a dollar amount concerning losses.
