Police Conducting School Bus Safety Patrols this Spring
By: Tanner Holbrook - Thursday, April 8, 2021

The Tri-County Traffic Safety Partnership is getting ready to protect students going to and from school.

According to a press release, over the next few months officers will be positioned along bus stop routes in Steuben, Lagrange and Dekalb Counties. They’ll be watching out for stop-arm violations and unsafe driving behavior.

The department joins more than 200 around the Hoosier State for the enforcement campaign. As a reminder, it is against the law in Indiana for drivers to pass a bus that is stopped, has it’s red lights flashing, and the stop arm extended.
