Three Rivers HS/MS Students Return To In Person Learning
By: Mike Stiles - Thursday, March 25, 2021

THREE RIVERS - Some students in the Three Rivers School District did something Wednesday they had not done in quite awhile.

Three Rivers Superintendent Ron Moag says Wednesday was the first day back in the classroom for Three Rivers High School and Middle School students for in person learning, five days a week.

In a letter posted on the District's website, Moag shared that the Three Rivers Board of Education updated their Extended COVID-19 Learning Plan recently that if the Community Health Agency's School Risk Assessment has a seven day average of 7.9 percent or lower, then students in grades 6-12 will return to 100 percent instruction, within two days of the District reaching this mark.

Recent statistics from the CHA shows the positivity rate has been at 7 percent for the last seven days. Moag says Three Rivers High School and Middle School students will be in full in person learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, unless they are mandated by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to go back to remote learning, or if the District experiences an outbreak that significantly impacts the students and staff.
