MILTON TOWNSHIP – A Niles teen has died from the injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle.

Cass County Sheriff Richard Behnke says 17 year old Samuel Gonzalez died at South Bend Memorial Hospital.

On January 9, Gonzalez was on a non motorized scooter on U.S. 12 near the off ramp of M-60 in Milton Township. He was struck by a passing pick up, driven by Richard Krassow of Niles. Krassow stopped and immediately called 911.

The incident is still under investigation.
