Williams County, OH - Ten fire departments in Williams County get a little more than $287 thousand dollars, in the first round of the 2021 Multi-Agency Radio Communications Systems, or MARCS, grant awards.

They are among 242 fire departments in 46 counties throughout Ohio to receive the roughly $1.5 million dollars in funding. The second round of grants will be announced in late January.

The MARCS radio system allows first responders to seamlessly communicate with each other, and with multiple other agencies while responding to an incident.
