WILLIAMS COUNTY - On Wednesday October 14th, 2020, detectives from the Williams County Police Office were contacted by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding a Williams County resident who was found to have uploaded Child Pornography on the internet. Through there investigation, the detectives established probable cause for a search warrant.

On the morning of Friday, October 16th, 2020 the detectives, with the assistance of the Edgerton Police Department, served the search warrant which resulted in the recovery of evidence supporting the alleged offenses. Further investigation resulted in the identifying of the alleged offender who uploaded hundreds of Child pornographic images to the internet.

The quick response of the detectives who were able to dedicate and focus their time and attention to this investigation, caused this matter to be brought to a swift conclusion. The case is being referred to the Williams County Prosecutor's Office for review in reference to criminal charges.
