INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The debate set for Tuesday night among the three candidates for Indiana governor has been changed to a virtual format.

Organizers say the move was made in regards to safety due to coronavirus concerns. The nonprofit Indiana Debate Commission says the candidates will all be present at an Indianapolis studio, but they and the moderator will be in separate spaces for the hour-long debate that begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The debate will be streamlined and feature Republican Governor Eric Holcomb, Democratic challenger Woody Myers and Libertarian Donald Rainwate.

Incumbent Republican Eric Holcomb is reportedly leading in the polls.
