AUBURN, IN - The Silver Alert for Aaron David Smith, age 16 of Auburn, has been canceled.

Smith had been missing since late Wednesday. The Auburn Police Department and many others assisted to help the 16-year-old before haunting the alert Thursday evening.

Police believed Smith to be in extreme danger and in need of medical attention when he first went missing Wednesday night

Auburn Police searched Smith's neighborhood through the night and into Thursday afternoon. In addition, K-9 units were called in to help in the search.

Authorities later found Smith in Garrett without any injuries.
