UNDATED – A high speed chase ended with a crash in Branch County.

Michigan State Police say they received a notification from the Hillsdale Police Department just after 11 PM Tuesday about the pursuit of an SUV. According to troopers, Hillsdale officers saw the vehicle near the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds and became suspicious.

The suspect vehicle drove away and eventually came to U.S. 12 and headed west. Authorities believe the SUV was stolen from Mattawan. Michigan State Police and the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Department joined in the chase, which came into Branch County. The vehicle crashed at the entrance to the Sauk River Apartments.

Troopers and the Coldwater Police Department helped sealed off the area, but authorities couldn't located anyone. In addition to a man who was driving the vehicle, police say they are searching for two women who were in the automobile.
