ANGOLA. IN - Angola Mayor Richard Hickman presented to 2020 budget the Common Council on Tuesday evening.

A quote was opened for the Hires Lift Station Discharge Manhole Improvement Project. The Manhole is 30-35 years old and has significant deterioration. The quote from Perish Excavating was for $229,605.

The estimate for the project was $150,000 and the council moved to award the project if the bidder met specifications for the project due to the time sensitivity of the project and need. Council also approved an addendum agreement with Pleasant Township compensating the City $300,000 for a fire truck.

Mayor Hickman gave a brief review of the 2020 budget and the council will meet on Wednesday September 16, at 5pm for a work season on the 2021 budget.
