Tuesday Morning Crash In DeKalb County Injures Woman

On Tuesday Morning at around 11:50 A.M., DeKalb County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene of County Road 16 and County Road 61.

It is there that they discovered 52-year-old Timothy Rinehold of Waterloo, Indiana who stated that he was traveling west on County Road 16 at the intersection of County Road 61. At the intersection Rinehold told officers that he stopped for the stop sign and looked both ways and did not see any vehicle coming, and proceeded through the intersection.

At that time, a second vehicle in the likes of a 2002 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on County Road 61, driven by 63-year-old Lydia Riveera of Hamilton, Indiana who was proceeding through the intersection where Rinehold hit Rivera in the rear driver side.

Rivera complained of left side pain at the scene and was later taken to Parkview DeKalb Hospital by EMS. Rinehold who was in his semi-tractor was not injured in the accident.

Assisting at the scene was Parkview EMS, as the crash remains under investigation.
