Vistula Park - Fremont, IN

Fremont, IN - Residents in Fremont have reported seeing a mountain lion at Vistula Park.

Pictures were taken of the animal behind the back ball diamond, and although the it cannot be seen well in the picture, residents say that it was clear when it was spotted that it was not a dog or another animal native to the area. Eye-witness accounts said it was clear to them it was a mountain lion by the look of the tail and size.

Fremont officials say Indiana Conservation Officers were called out to look for the animal, but were not able to locate it. Several tracks were found in the area.

A trail camera has been set-up in hopes of capturing a closer look of the animal.
