Drug Arrest Thursday Morning In LaGrange County
Thursday, June 25, 2020


On Thursday morning, deputies with the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Topeka, LaGrange, and Shipshewana Police Departments conducted a Search Warrant at 9045 West 770 North in Shipshewana.

At 12:37 A.M. it was reported that the occupants of the residence were growing marijuana in the backyard area of the residence. Investigation revealed that a 4-5’ marijuana plant was in plain view and a Search Warrant was applied for at the residence. A Search Warrant was executed and found Addam Long of Plymouth, to be the only occupant of the residence at the time. Multiple paraphernalia items and syringes were located inside the residence along with 24 grams of methamphetamine.

A single 4’ marijuana plant was located inside an empty above ground swimming pool.

Addam Long was arrested and booked into the LaGrange County Jail for the following charges of Possession of a Syringe, a Level 6 Felony as well as Possession of Meth, a Level 4 Felony. Other Misdemeanor charges included Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

The incident remains under investigation at this time and separate arrests are pending.
