Flames Errupt On Barn In Harlan
Thursday, June 27, 2019

Flames and billowing black smoke were seen from a barn fire in Harlan on State Road 37 on Wednesday. When fire crews arrived on the scene, the bar was completely engulfed in flames.

Officials are believing that exhaust from farm equipment caught old hay inside the barn on fire. Several horses were evacuated from the barn, however there were no reports of injuries.

Firefighters controlled the blaze and let it slowly burn out. The barn itself eventually collapsed and is a total loss. State Road 37 was closed at Cuba Road for about an hour while crews remedied the situation.
