Tuesday Crash In DeKalb County

An accident on County Road 66 west of County Road 5 in DeKalb County Tuesday afternoon has left one man injured. Alec Giegold, age 35 of Garrett was traveling east on CR 66 when he lost control of the vehicle. His 2004 Ford Escape then rolled over and came to rest in a swamp on the north side of the road.

Giegold was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, as the incident is still under investigation.
