Agriculture Appreciation Day Cookout
Tuesday, August 19, 2025
The Steuben County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), in partnership with the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA), and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), invites everyone to attend the Agriculture Appreciation Day Parking Lot Cookout on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Angola USDA Service Center Parking Lot, 1220 N 200 W, Angola, IN 46703.
This free, family-friendly event is a celebration of Steuben County’s farmers, landowners, and agricultural producers. It is an opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a meal, and learn more about the conservation programs and services offered by your local SWCD, FSA, and NRCS to support agriculture and protect the natural resources here in Steuben County.
Everyone is welcome—whether you are directly involved in agriculture or simply appreciate the hard work of those who grow our food and care for the land. This cookout is a chance to say thank you to the individuals who play a vital role in our county’s economy, environment, and quality of life.
Lunch will be provided by the Steuben County SWCD and will feature hamburgers and hot dogs sourced locally by Mr. Meatz, ice cream provided by our neighbors up in Camden, Michigan- Kuster’s Dairy and fresh sweet corn donated and cooked by Ridenour Farms.
Come hungry, bring a friend, and join us in celebrating our community pride in conservation, sustainable agriculture and the valuable contributions it has in our lives.
