Indiana Natural Resources Commission to Meet Sept. 15 in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WLKI)- The Indiana Natural Resources Commission will hold its next bimonthly meeting Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Fort Harrison State Park.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern time in the Garrison Ballroom at the park, located at 6002 North Post Road in Indianapolis.

The Natural Resources Commission is an autonomous board that addresses matters related to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Meeting agendas and downloadable supporting materials are available online at nrc.IN.gov.

The commission includes the director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources; leaders from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Indiana Destination Development Corporation and Indiana Department of Transportation; six bipartisan citizen members appointed by the governor; the chair of the DNR advisory council; and the president of the Indiana Academy of Science.

Agency heads and the academy president may designate proxies to serve in their place when needed.

The DNR has not released additional details about items expected to be considered during the meeting.
