(AUBURN) - Two men were taken to the hospital after a chain-reaction crash on northbound I-69 Tuesday morning.
Deputies report the collision happened around 7 a.m. near the 326-mile marker when a Ford F-150 slowed in the passing lane to avoid another vehicle, then slid into a Ford Fusion traveling in the driving lane. The pickup, driven by 63-year-old Brian Crawford of Fremont, suffered heavy front-end damage. Crawford complained of neck pain and was taken to a local hospital. The Fusion, driven by 51-year-old Tracy Wimes of Fort Wayne, was hit from behind and had significant rear-end damage. Wimes had a facial injury and was also transported by EMS.
