ANGOLA, Ind. (WLKI)- Trine University is reporting enrollment growth across several programs this fall, including a record incoming class at its Angola campus and increased enrollment at the Brooks College of Health Professions in Fort Wayne.
The university said more than 760 new students joined the Angola campus this fall. Total enrollment at the campus is now more than 2,200 students. The previous incoming-class record was 754 students, set in 2023.
Trine President Tony Kline said the university remains focused on providing students with a strong learning and living experience, along with a return on their educational investment.
Enrollment at the Brooks College of Health Professions is expected to increase nearly 20 percent from its 2025 total of 354 students. That would also represent an increase of more than 50 percent from the 274 students enrolled in 2024.
The growth is tied in part to larger Doctor of Physical Therapy cohorts, the launch of an Associate of Science in Nursing program and a new family nurse practitioner track within Trine's Master of Science in Nursing program.
Trine also expects enrollment in its dual-enrollment program to rise about 15 percent from last fall's total of 1,701 students. Vice President for Enrollment Management Kim Bennett said the program gives high school students an opportunity to earn college credit early and potentially reduce the cost and time needed to complete a degree.
The university has also added facilities to support its growing student population. The Trine Family Training Center and Thunder Dome opened this summer, while the $15 million John and Mary Pellegrino Student Design Center opened this semester with robotics, aeronautics and powertrain labs.
The university also said it has received a lead gift for the future James Center for Business and Leadership.
