(COLDWATER) - Get ready for a day of creativity on the snow--registration is now open for the annual Kiwanis Cardboard Sled Races at Winter Fest on Saturday, January 24. The free, family event at Heritage Park challenges kids and adults to build sleds using only cardboard and tape. Races are divided into three groups:
-- 8 and under
-- Ages 9 to 17
-- Adults and teams, including a service-club showdown for the coveted cardboard trophy.
Prizes will be awarded for longest distance and most creative designs.
Winter Fest runs 10 to 3 with horse-drawn wagon rides, wood carving, sled dog demos, inflatables, and free hot chocolate and s'mores.
