(STEUBEN COUNTY) - If you're looking for a warm, festive way to enjoy the season, Steuben County is lighting up the holidays with two drive-through light displays--both free, both glowing brightly in December.
At the Steuben County 4-H Fairgrounds, thousands of lights will shine every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. Drivers should enter through the Event Center entrance on County Road 200 West. Admission is free, and donations are welcome. Families can visit Santa on December 13 and 20 from 6 to 8 p.m., then enjoy free carriage rides sponsored by the Steuben County Tourism Bureau from 6 to 9 p.m.
Just south of Pleasant Lake, the Anthony Wayne Scout Reservation is hosting its annual Christmas at Camp. The display runs December 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, and nightly December 21-23 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The drive-through is also free, with donations accepted. Visitors can meet Santa and enjoy free refreshments on December 13, 20, and 21, and browse a holiday craft show December 5 and 6.
Both events offer families a cozy way to take in the magic of the season--no need to leave the warmth of your car.
