(ANGOLA) - The Lake James Golf Course property will be sold at public auction Monday evening, offering 127 acres of land in Steuben County.
The auction is set for Monday, April 27 at 6 p.m. at the Steuben County Event Center.
According to organizers with Schrader Real Estate & Auction Company, the property is being offered in multiple tracts, allowing bidders to purchase individual sections, several tracts, or the entire course. The offering includes the full golf course layout along with additional land that could be used for development or other purposes.
Lake James Golf Course ownership says the decision to sell follows several years of attempting to find a buyer. Owners say the move also comes as they look to step away from day-to-day operations after nearly a decade managing the course.
The property has a long history in Steuben County. Ownership says it began as a nine-hole course in the 1920s and expanded over time into an 18-hole layout through additional land purchases in later decades.
Organizers say bidders can participate in person, online, or by phone.
