(AUBURN) - DeKalb Central United School District has added a new School Resource Officer.
Officials say Deputy Brandon Quesinberry has joined the district and will be based at DeKalb Middle School, with additional responsibilities at Country Meadow Elementary.
Quesinberry recently toured school buildings and met with staff as he begins the role.
District leaders say School Resource Officers play a key role in maintaining safety and security for students and staff.
The district also thanked the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office for providing the officer.
