(SPEEDWAY) - Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti will take the wheel at this year's Indianapolis 500.
Race officials say Cignetti has been selected as the honorary pace car driver, leading the field to the green flag.
He's coming off a historic season with the Hoosiers, finishing a perfect 16-0 and winning a national championship.
The Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for May 24th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
