(LAGRANGE) - A LaGrange County man will spend decades in prison after a judge imposed a 38-year sentence for violent offenses.

Gregory Kurzawski, 38, was sentenced in LaGrange Superior Court on convictions for attempted robbery and attempted aggravated battery. The court enhanced the penalty due to his status as a habitual offender, resulting in a lengthy executed sentence.

The judge issued the ruling after reviewing a pre-sentence investigation report, hearing from the victim and considering arguments from both prosecutors and defense attorneys.

The sentence concludes the case following Kurzawski's convictions on the two felony counts.
