The District is currently seeking three Part-Time Floaters to serve Steuben, LaGrange, Noble, and DeKalb counties. Gwen Hall and Ashley Kaye join Andy St. John on WLKI 100.3 to highlight these vital roles ahead of the April season opening.

- The Role: 15-20 hours per week operating equipment and working outdoors with the public.
- Paid Training: Includes paid OSHA and orientation meetings in late March.

Protecting Our Environment
Gwen and Ashley also discuss the mission of the NISWMD to extend landfill life through recycling and Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) programs. They share critical tips on avoiding "wish cycling" and keeping hazardous materials--like needles and medical waste--out of standard recycling bins to ensure staff safety.
