20 Cases Bird Flu Detected This Month in NE Indiana

(LAGRANGE COUNTY) - The Indiana State Board of Animal Health reports 20 cases of bird flu have been detected in our region in the past month. Four more cases were discovered last week in LaGrange County. A flock of 25,000 chickens at a commercial egg farm and three commercial duck farms were put under quarantine in the latest cases. Surveillance zones have been set up across parts of Elkhart, LaGrange, and Noble Counties in hopes of slowing the spread of the disease.
