Polar Plunge Winter Event Set for Saturday at Lake James

(ANGOLA) - Area residents are invited to take part in a Polar Plunge winter event Saturday, Jan. 17, at Lake James, with proceeds supporting local organizations.

The event will be hosted by the Waterfront Bistro and 4 Korners and will take place throughout the afternoon. Activities begin at noon and include live music, food, drinks and raffles.

The Polar Plunge is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., giving participants the opportunity to jump into the icy waters of Lake James. A raffle drawing will follow at 3 p.m.

Organizers say the event is designed to be family-friendly and will feature entertainment and giveaways throughout the day. Purchases made during the event will allow attendees to be entered into prize drawings.

Several local businesses and sponsors are supporting the event, including Planet Powersports, Hot Rod Golf Carts, Duraclean, Indiana Warm Floors and Vestil.
